Welcome to the 7th edition of “IRISi News”!
We are thrilled to announce that the ADViSE Programme is already running in four areas in Greater Manchester! Thanks to funding from the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, in total, 10 sexual health clinics in Manchester, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford will take part in the ADViSE programme. All of them are covered by The Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI), which is part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
We are also happy to share the early findings from AVA’s ” Menopause & Domestic Abuse: Stuck in the Middle with You Project”, developed in collaboration with IRISi (on page 2).
Also on page 2, the #SiteOfTheMonth of this edition is Bridgend, one more Welsh area that started delivering the IRIS Programme to the local General Practice teams!
The IRIS Programme is effective outside a clinical trial according to a study that has just been awarded the 2021 RCGP Research Paper of the Year, as you can see on page 3. IRISi’s new Finance and Governance Director and the #SafetyBeforeStatus campaign are also the highlights of this edition!
